The 7 Chakras

March 01, 2017 / Mind and Body

Chakras are centers in the body where energy flows through. They all represent different aspects of the human condition, thoughts, feelings, and physical properties. Chakras regulate everything in the body from emotions to the immune system. When energy is flowing freely through these chakras we feel harmony and peace; when one or more of these energy centers are blocked we can experience discomfort and illness. This is why it’s important to understand what the 7 chakras represent so you can remain balanced and in harmony with yourself.

Chakra (cha -kra) in sanskrit translates to the literal word “wheel”. It was given this name because each chakra is considered to be a spinning vortex of light and energy in different points of the body. They start from the base of the spin and stack all the way up to the top of the head.
