The Basics

The holiday session is busy and stressful. During this month we are going to take things back to the basics. Keep it simple, keep calm and quiet the mind. Happy Holidays Everyone!

  • Tool: Breath
  • Description:

    The power of breathing life by taking air into or expelling air from the lungs.

  • Inhale: In the nose
  • Exhale: Out the nose


Find a comfortable meditations seat. Begin by taking 3 deep breaths; in through the nose and then out through the mouth. Try and relax your body as much as you can but still maintain a tall spine, when taking these breaths. Then when you’re ready to begin to cycle the breath through your nose and close the eyes. Allow all thoughts and feelings to come and go during the breath cycles. If you linger on a thought and forget the breath just relax and come back to the cycle. Continue this for the remainder of your session.
